Board members met for a regular meeting Monday evening.

LOUDONVILLE — The Loudonville-Perrysville Board of Education approved Supt. Jennifer Allerding’s contract, renewing her position for another five years, on Monday.

The contract includes Allerding’s annual salary of $132,600. Board members also approved Treasurer Christine Angerer’s five-year contract, which outlined her $113,655 annual salary.

“I look forward to another five years,” board president David Hunter said.

The board also authorized the purchase of two new school buses. Meta Solutions, a Columbus-based company, will advertise and receive bids on the board’s behalf.

A Meta Solutions document shows the base bid price for one 77/78 passenger bus is $124,764.

Angerer said it will take roughly eight months before the buses are on school property, but they will be in use by the 2026-27 school year.

Board members also approved the purchase of a new mini van, which has already been purchased for under $40,0000, Allerding said.

Allerding said the van — a Chrysler — is used to transport students who receive education in alternative locations, among other uses. The previous van was purchased three years ago and was involved in three different accidents — all involving deer.

Allerding said the latest accident, which took place earlier in the fall, totaled the vehicle. There were students in the van, but no one was injured, Allerding said.
