A family rides in the Ashland Express at Ashland Christmas Village on Friday evening.

ASHLAND — Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus, elves and two of Santa’s reindeer traveled from the North Pole to bring holiday magic to Ashland Christmas Village.

The fifth annual event kicked off Friday evening and will continue on Saturday, Dec. 19 and 20 from 6-8 p.m. at Corner Park.

All activities are free, including a train ride on the Ashland Express, inflatable snow globes, photos with Santa, story time with Mrs. Claus and reindeer petting.

Te volunteer-run event is sponsored by Ashland Community Foundation funds, Ecommerce Alley, Hynek’s Machine and Welding Inc., Kybri Enterprises, Lippert Enterprises, Norma Foundation, PCA and Simonson Construction, according to a Christmas Village’s Facebook post.
