COLUMBUS – Ohio hunters checked 232,142 white-tailed deer during the 2025-26 season that concluded on Sunday, Feb. 1, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Wildlife.
Ashland County hunters tagged 5,108 deer, just outside the top 10 among Ohio’s 88 counties. That’s a significant increase in the number deer checked over the past three years, which averaged at 4,249.
