Judianne Smith, 85, of Ashland, Ohio died March 3, 2026 following an extended illness.
On July 30, 1940 she was born in Kansas City, MO the daughter of the late Frederick Weed and Graceabelle (Adams) Weed.
On July 31, 1981, she married Wendell Smith and together they shared 44 years.
Survivors include her spouse, Wendell Smith of Ashland, Ohio, 2 brothers, Donald (JoAnne) Weed of Dundas, Minnesota and Jim (Mary) Weed of Michigan. Her children, Brenda Swanger of Ashland, Ohio, Brett Heffner (Deanne Brokaw) of Shelby, Ohio, and Maria (Bill) Sulzer of Ashland, Ohio. Step children include Wendy Newmyer (Harry Oxford) of Rhinebeck, New York, Becky Smith of Ashland, Ohio, Kandy (Greg) Zehner of Xenia, Ohio, and Sandy Heidimann (Pete Lentz) of Ashland, Ohio, as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by sister, Marilyn Emert, son, Brian Heffner, and grandchild, Carly Heffner.
She enjoyed gardening, crocheting catnip mice toys, making baskets, decorative gourds and spending time with her grandchildren and teaching them about nature.
