Robert L. Crist age 79 of Ashland, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on April 10, 2026.
Born in Ashland on December 30, 1946, the son of Levi and Dorothy (Stauffer) Crist . He had been a resident of Ashland County all of his life. Before his retirement he had been employed at Bosch Braking Systems. Mr. Crist was a graduate of Mapleton High School Class of 1964.
He was also a veteran of the United States Air Force.
He enjoyed bowling & fishing as well as being a member of the Amvets, American Legion, Moose, & VFW.
On January 29, 1972, Robert was married to Carol J. Dunlap who survives.
In addition to his wife, Carol, he is also survived by two sons: Joel (Molly) Crist of Columbus and Bryan Crist of Ashland. He is also survived by four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. One brother, Stephen (Bobby) Crist of Florida, also survives.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents.
