ASHLAND — A new Ashland business is ready to help residents “rest, recover and remember.”
The Ritual Well, which opened in October 2025, celebrated its half birthday Friday with a ribbon cutting ceremony led by the Ashland Area Chamber of Commerce.
Located at 144 Maple St., The Ritual Well offers several services including infrared sauna, cold plunge, red light therapy and massage therapy. A community open house followed the ribbon cutting ceremony from 3 to 6 p.m. Friday.
Krista Bowles, owner of The Ritual Well, said her motivation behind opening the business was to create a local space for people to rest, recover and get back to themselves.

“We live in a world where we are go, go, go and we feel like if we want relief we have got to go to something or do something, but really our body does best when we take time to rest,” she said.
“Every ritual that we have is rooted in rest,” Bowles said of her business.
One of the things Bowles said she enjoys the most is people who have questions about the different offerings and their benefits. She wants folks to know The Ritual Well is a place where all are welcome, she said.
Private tours of the business are available upon request for those interested in learning more about what options are offered, Bowles said.
The local business owner also received certificates from the Ohio Auditor of State’s Office and State Sen. Mark Romanchuk.
Chamber President Amy Daubenspeck thanked Bowles for being a part of the chamber and the community.
“Thank you for letting us come along on this journey with you. We appreciate you and we’re glad that we have a front-row seat to your success,” Daubenspeck said.
The Ritual Well is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. It is closed on Sundays.
