POLK — The third annual Polk Firefighters Association Rodeo will take place on Saturday, June 13 at the Ashland County Fairgrounds.
Kids events start at 7:30 p.m. with the main event slated to begin at 8 p.m.
This event is a fundraiser for the firefighters association.
“We are a 501c3 non-profit organization that conducts business transactions in the best interest of the association members and provides support for the members of the Polk Jackson Perry Fire District,” said Justin Spencer, committee chairman for the Polk Firefighters Association Rodeo.
This event is the annual fundraiser that allows for the purchase of additional training and equipment with any remaining earnings going towards a charity of our choice and to the community.
“We have contracted for the third year with High Steel Rodeo Company, the 4 time reigning outdoor production of the year for the Southern Extreme Bull Riding Association,” Spencer said.
This event will feature 6 of the top 10 bull riders in the U.S., and 5 of the top 10 bulls in the country.
There will be kids activities prior to the event, food vendors, 50/50 raffles, basket raffles, and additional 50/50 style games.
