Glenda L. (Lower) Copeland age 83 of Ashland, passed away at her residence on Sunday May 3, 2026.
Born in Canton, Ohio on September 30, 1942 the daughter of Dane J. and Evelyn L. (Domer) Lower she had been a resident of Ashland County for the past 83 years. Glenda was the owner of Bride N Party in Ashland and most recently the owner of the Ashland Laundry Basket after her husbands passing on May 17, 2016. She loved having contact with her customers in her business’s and she was a people person. She also enjoyed sewing in her free time. She attended the Faith Life Now Church in New Albany and also attended the Bethel Baptist Church in Savannah. She was also a member of the Nankin Fire Board, Conservative Coalition and the Ashland Liberty Belle.
On June 3, 1961, Glenda was married to Thomas (Tom) R. Copeland who preceded her in death on May 17, 2016.
She is survived by one daughter: Jennifer Copeland of Ashland. One sister and sister in law also survive: Anne Skillman of Ashland and Nancy Fair of Georgia. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and her two dogs, Ogie Boy and Rascal Pup.
In addition to her husband Tom, Glenda is preceded in death by her parents, son, Jeffery Copeland, July 11, 2022 and sister Carol Clark in August of 2016. She is also preceded in death by two brothers, Ken Lower and Wayne Lower.
Funeral Services will be held on May 19, 2026 at 12:00 pm at the Heyl Funeral Home with Pastor Matt Miller officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 am till 12:00 pm on May 19, 2026 at the funeral home. Glenda will be laid to rest in the Ashland Cemetery following the funeral service.
