Victoria R. Frisby, 83 of Ashland passed from this life on Thursday morning, May 7, 2026 in Kingston of Ashland.
She was born on July 22, 1942 in Ashland, the daughter of the late Raymond W. and Katherine M. (nee Lavengood) Mowry.
Vickie graduated from Hayesville High School, class of 1960.
She married the love of her life, Larry J. Frisby on May 23, 1992.
Vickie retired after more than 34 years from Abbott Laboratories, previously Faultless Rubber Company where she worked in Quality Assurance.
Vickie was a devoted member of the St. Michael Lutheran Church in Mifflin, Ohio and the Amvets #1969 Auxiliary where she served as treasurer for more than 30 years. Throughout her life, she absolutely loved everyone. She was quick on the draw sending out Christmas, Birthday, and Anniversary Cards to family and friends. Vickie enjoyed traveling to NASCAR events, casinos, and most of all family reunions. She was famous for her award-winning chili seasoning recipe, always willing to share, but never revealing the ingredients.
She is survived by two sons, Alan (Kristy) Moore of Perrysville and Andy Moore of Ashland; five grandchildren, Monica, Megan (Kim), Julie (Amber), Nick (Josette), and Jacob (Jen); a great granddaughter, Isabella; a stepson, Larry L. Frisby of Ashland; and a brother, Gail (Sandy Strickling) Mowry of Loudonville.
In addition to her parents, Vickie is preceded in death by her loving husband of 27 years, Larry Frisby who passed away on November 29, 2019; a stepdaughter, Carla Frisby; and a brother, Bradley Mowry.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Michael’s Lutheran Church, 26 Maine St, Ashland, OH 44805 (Village of Mifflin) with Reverend Ralph Hall presiding. Interment will follow in the Vermillion Cemetery. Friends and family may visit on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, in the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the church from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
