Lola Mae Browning, 73 of Polk passed from this life on Saturday afternoon, May 9, 2026 in University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center.
She was born on July 11, 1952 in Logan, West Virginia the daughter of the late Earl and Gladys (Grimmett) Ellis.
Lola graduated from Logan High School, Class of 1970. That same year, she married the love of her life, William Harrison Browning on December 9th. Together they have celebrated 55 years together.
She has been a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, making a home for her family.
Lola was an avid reader of fiction, enjoying taking trips with her husband on their Harley Davidson motorcycle, but most of all being a daily part of her children, grandchildren’s, and great grandchildren’s sporting events and activities.
She is survived by her loving husband, William Browning of Polk; three children, Paula (Richard) Henderson of Cleveland, Pearllena (Dan) Nirosky of Jeromesville, and William H. (Kimberly) Browning Jr. of Ashland; eight grandchildren, Stephanie (Wayne) Meckley, Richard Henderson Jr., Michael (Shelby) Nirosky, Bradley (Savannah) Nirosky, Drema (Dakota) Freelon, Matthew Nirosky, Dakota (Deanna) Browning, Daniel (Shelby Frazier) Nirosky, and Shelby Franzier; 12 great grandchildren; and one sister, Gladys (Donald) Adkins of Logan, West Viriginia.
In addition to her parents, Lola is preceded in death by her sister, Sue Marcam; and one brother, James Earl Ellis.
A prayer service will be held on Thursday evening, May 14, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. in the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home. Friends and family may visit three hours prior to the service from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
