Julia (Judy) Mae Pinski age 83 of Ashland, passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2026 at Brethren Care Village.

She was born in Mansfield, Ohio on January 6, 1943. She was the daughter of the late Homer and Mildred (Winger) Ritter.

She graduated from Lexington High School and lived in Ashland County after marriage. Judy was a stay at home mom during the kids elementary years. She was a Room Mother and Lunch Aid and held positions in the PTA/PTO at Lincoln Elementary School. Then she was employed with The Garber Co. until they closed. She enjoyed making Christmas cookies/candy trays for neighbors and close friends each year. She also enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, word find puzzles and playing Euchre and her flower and vegetable garden. After retirement she volunteered at locations throughout Ashland County distributing food for the Cleveland Food Bank. Judy and her husband, Bill, could often be found eating supper out several nights a week with family/friends at local establishments.

On March 21, 1964, Judy married John William (Bill) Pinski and the couple enjoyed fifty-nine years together. He preceded her in death on April 23, 2023. Survivors include one daughter, Jo A. Robertson (Kurt Canfield) of Ashland; one daughter-in-law, Erin Pinski of Findlay. She has two grandchildren, Emily Pinski and her husband, Taylor Zimmerman, and Matt Pinski; sister, Mildred (Millie) Moran; and brother-in-law, Michael Austen; along with many nephews and nieces and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, John W. Pinski, Jr., sister, Ruth A. Austen; brother-in-law, James (Jim) Moran; parents-in-law, W. Floyd and Gladys Pinski; sisters-in-law and spouses Mary Alice and Forest Geiger, and Sarah and Delbert Elliott.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2026 at 11 a.m. in the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home with Dave Matos presiding. Interment will follow in the Miller Cemetery. Friends and family may visit one hour prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff at Brethren Care Village and Gentiva Hospice for their outstanding care for Julia throughout her stay.
