Carol Lynn Roberts, 65, of Wadsworth, passed from this life on Thursday, June 4, 2026, in the Good Shepherd Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Ashland, Ohio.
She was born on January 21, 1961, in Fostoria, the daughter of Lawrence and Janice (nee Immel) Yost.
Carol graduated from Ontario High School, Class of 1979. She furthered her education and earned a bachelor’s degree from Bowling Green State University in special education in 1983.
She married the love of her life, Kelly Mitchell Roberts on August 5, 1983.
Carol dedicated her life to the service of others as a mother, spouse, educator, pastoral minister, volunteer, sister, and friend.
A lover of sunflowers, elephants, rainbows, and all living beings, Carol was an artistic, creative, passionate, nurturing soul. She was deeply spiritual, a devoted Catholic always seeking opportunities to accompany and advocate for the marginalized and inspiring her loved ones to do the same.
She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Kelly Roberts of Wadsworth; her mother, Janice Yost of Mansfield; three children, Danielle Roberts of Columbus, Alyssa Roberts of Columbus, and Mitchell (Carley) Roberts of Mifflin; one grandson, Logan Roberts of Mifflin; five siblings, Mike (Shelly) Yost of Mansfield, John (Kim) Yost of Mifflin, Pat (Janet) Yost of Ostrander, Laura Smith of Marysville, and Mary Ellen (Dan) Scheib of Dayton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Carol is preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Yost.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 12, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Edward Roman Catholic Church in Ashland, with Father Rod Kreidler presiding. Family and friends are welcome to join the burial Mass and funeral luncheon and/or may visit on Thursday evening, June 11, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home in Ashland.
