Barbara J. “Barbie” Daniels, 82 of Ashland passed from this life on Tuesday evening, June 23, 2026 in Brethren Care Village.
She was born on November 24, 1943 in Lodi the daughter of the late Harold C. and Helen M. (nee Whitman) Reed.
Barbie graduated from Polk High School in 1961. She retired after many years from Bank One and was previously employed at Eagle Rubber Company and Hedstrom.
On June 6th, 1964, Barbie married the love of her life, Ralph Nelson Daniels; with whom he shared two sons; Kevin Allen Daniels and Timothy (Kimberly) Daniels.
In her free time, Barbie enjoyed bowling and watching her grandchildren play sports. She was a devoted member of Polk Church of Christ and the Ashland Eagles Aerie#2178 where she was an officer and on the ritual team.
She is survived by her son and daughter- in-law, Tim and Kim of Ashland, Grandchildren; Randi (Sean) Daniels-Blair, Tim Daniels, Jakob Daniels, Sammi Matthews, Shirleeah Pasco, Tyler (Corrine) Daniels, Tanner (Katelyn) Daniels, Emmalea (Justin) Brinker, Dan (Hailey Burger) Kettering; and Nine great grandchildren.
Barbie is preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 60 years, Ralph who passed away in 2024; her son Kevin who passed away in 2013; her sister, Doris (Dean) Welch; and her brother, William James Reed.
Per the family’s wishes, no services will be conducted.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice in Barbie’s memory.
