ASHLAND — Local healthcare and social service organizations are offering a free Community Health and Wellness Day on July 22.
The free event is designed to connect residents with preventative health screenings and community resources.
The event will be held at UH Samaritan on Main, 663 E. Main St., from 2 to 6 p.m.
Attendees can stop anytime during the event for these free screenings:
- A1C (blood glucose, non-fasting)
- Blood pressure
- Bone density
- Total cholesterol
If you are doing a total cholesterol screening, don’t eat or drink anything but water for 9-12 hours prior.
Sports physicals will also be offered, along with information about falls prevention, food safety, and mosquito and tick safety. Other highlights include the Farmers Market, community resources, and health education.
If you would like a screening mammogram or vaccinations during the event, you will need to pre-register.
