Dr. James R. Lessig age 59 of Ashland, passed away unexpectedly and saw the face of his precious Saviour, Jesus, on July 4, 2026.
Born in Richland County, the son of Bob and Julia (Bear) Lessig on August 15, 1966, he had been a resident of Ashland County for most of his life. Dr. Lessig owned and operated Countryside Chiropractic for 34 years where he did his very best to show the love of Christ to those who walked through his door. He found the greatest joy being with his family, doing daily Scripture reading with his family, and helping his family navigate life. He also loved planning “do gooder” Thursdays and working hard on his farm. He loved his family well and will be so deeply missed.
On February 3, 1999, James married his precious wife Elizabeth Bolick, who was his whole world.
He is survived by his wife Elizabeth, his five children: Kristin (Andrew) Spencer of Massachusetts, Madeline Lessig of Virginia, David Lessig of Ashland, Robert Lessig of Ashland and Jonathan Lessig of Ashland. He is also survived by his parents, Bob and Julia Lessig of Ashland.
Funeral Services will be held at the Grace Church, 1142 West Main Street, Ashland, Ohio 44805 at 11:00 am on Saturday July 11, 2026. Friends may visit with the family at the Grace Church on Friday July 10, 2026,from 4:00 pm till 7:00 pm and also from 9:00 am till 11:00 am on Saturday July 11, 2026.
