Kenneth J. Clancy, 86, of Ashland passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Friday July 3rd, 2026.

Clancy was born on May 15, 1940, in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of the late Cletus and Stella (nee Roman) Clancy. He was affectionately known as Clancy or Clance to his family and friends.

Clancy retired as a mechanic from the Northeastern Regional Sewer District and was previously employed at Ohio Crank Shaft.

He was an avid hunter in his younger years and shooting his guns at the club. You could always find him busy in his yard making it perfect or in the garage working on his Harley.

After Clancy fell ill in March of 2025, he resided with his son Danny in Kirtland, Ohio for the remainder of his life.

He enjoyed his time with family and reminiscing about past times.  Clancy always had a way to convince the grandkids to sneak him some sweets. Watching Westerns and Matlock were always his favorite.

He is survived by his loving children, Kenneth Clancy Jr., Cristina (George) DiBello, Michelle (Albert) Matuska, Michael (Yumi) Clancy, and Daniel (Meghan) Clancy; and numerous grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Clancy is preceded in death by his long-time partner, Nancy L. Patterson who passed away in 2003; one son, Vincent Clancy; one daughter, Jennifer; a daughter-in-law, Tammy Clancy; and his special canine companions, fur girls, Sammy and Chi Chi.

An interment service will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. in the All Saints Cemetery, 480 W Highland Rd, Northfield, OH 44067, with Father Rod Kriedler presiding.
