Nancy L. Wires age 70, of Ashland, passed away at University Hospitals Samaritan Regional Health Center on July 25, 2026.
Born in Ashland on March 27, 1956 the daughter of William P. and Evelyn J. (Morrison) Laughlin, she had been a resident of Ashland all of her life. Nancy had previously been employed at PV Communications before her retirement. She enjoyed spending time with her family, Bigfoot, garage sales and reading.
On August 25, 1973 Nancy was married to Clayton Wires who survives.
Also surviving are three children: Eric Wires of Ashland, Heather (Troy) Flickinger of Sullivan and Chris (Brianne) Wires of Loudonville. Four grandchildren also survive: Logan Workman, Seth (Alyssa) Workman, Roman Flickinger and Ava Wires. One great granddaughter also survives, Lakelynn Workman. Also surviving are siblings: John (Barb) Laughlin, Shirley (Rick) Bonfiglio, Pam (Wayne) Risner and Tamie (Greg) Bellman. 27 nieces and nephews also survive.
Nancy is preceded in death by her parents and two sisters and one brother: Barbara Zahniser, Linda Hankins and James Laughlin.
Graveside funeral services will be held on Tuesday August 4, 2026 at 1:00 pm at the Ashland County Memorial Park, 1058 State Route 250 North, Ashland, Ohio 44805
