Robert L. Eberhart age 64 of Ashland, passed away on July 27, 2026 following a courageous battle with cancer and other health issues.
Born in Ashland on June 11, 1962 the son of Richard and Carol (Eby) Eberhart. Robert was a graduate of Ashland High School in 1980. He had been employed as a truck driver for over 23 years until his health started to decline. He fought a courageous battle with cancer and other health issues and always remained cheerful and happy to see friends and relatives who would visit him. He enjoyed talking to people and he was a people person who never met anyone he didn’t like and strangers would often become friends quickly after talking to him. He also loved going to Pleasant Hill Dam and Mohican State Park to enjoy the outdoors when he was able to get out.
He is survived by his wife, Maxine Eberhart and daughter, Makayla Eberhart. Also surviving are two step children: Rebecca (Phillip) Malone and Nathan (Jessica) Sheperd. Also surviving are grandchildren: Emily, Alex, Peyton, Anayah, Brielle and Jacob. Also surviving are one brother and sister in law: Richard (Diana) Eberhart of Outer Banks, NC and two aunts: Mary Leisure of Ashland and Georgie Goetz of Mansfield. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and grandparents: Richard and Carol Eberhart, Lawrence and Marie Eberhart and George and Pearl Eby.
A memorial service will be held at Grace Ranch, 179 Holbrook Street, Ashland, Ohio 44805 on September 12, 2026 at 1:00 pm
A special thank you goes out to Gentiva Hospice who provided care till the end and also to Robert’s daughter Makayla who was with him until the very end, taking very good care of her dad the best she could. She loved her father.
