ASHLAND — There were 24 people sentenced in August for felony convictions in Ashland County.

Common Pleas Court Judge David Stimpert ordered the following sentences, unless otherwise noted. The following names stem from a report generated by Stimpert.

Three people sentenced Aug. 3

  • Jon Wagner, 42, of Greenwich, was sentenced to 60 days in jail following a conviction of having weapons under disability. One count of grand theft was dismissed. Wagner received two days of jail credit and also faces a $250 fine, plus court costs. Upon release, Wagner will face an optional two-year post-release control sanction if prison is imposed. Wagner also received two years of community control, with reserved prison time of nine to 36 months if community control is violated. The case originated Aug. 14, 2025.
  • Ian Miller, 22, of Butler, was sentenced to one year in prison following a conviction of amended grand theft. An additional grand theft charge was dismissed. Miller received 263 days of jail credit and also faces court costs. Upon release, Miller will face an optional two-year post-release control sanction. The case originated May 8, 2024.
  • Joshua Coleman, 37, of Ashland, was sentenced to eight months in prison following a conviction of vandalism. Coleman received 240 days of jail credit and also faces court costs. Upon release, Coleman will face an optional two-year post-release control sanction. The case originated Dec. 9, 2025.

Six people sentenced Aug. 10

  • Eric Floyd, 39, of Doddridge, Arkansas, was sentenced to nine months in prison following a conviction of aggravated possession of methamphetamine. Floyd received 297 days of jail credit and faces a $5,000 fine, plus court costs. Floyd also forfeited a phone and vehicle. Upon release, Floyd will face an optional two-year post-release control sanction. The case originated Oct. 17, 2025.
  • Joshua Wells, 50, of Jeromesville, was sentenced to two concurrent 18-month prison sentences following convictions of domestic violence and intimidation. Wells received 85 days of jail credit and also faces court costs. Upon release, Wells will face a mandatory post-release control sanction of one to three years. The case originated Jan. 2.
  • Sharisse Jones, 21, of Mansfield, was sentenced to 90 days in jail following convictions of possessing criminal tools and complicity to vandalism. A complicity to breaking and entering charge was dismissed. Jones received nine days of jail credit and must pay $3,341.67 in restitution, plus court costs. Upon release, Jones faces an optional two-year post-release control sanction if prison is imposed. Jones also received mandatory community control time, with reserved prison time of six to 12 months and/or six to 18 months if community control is violated. The case originated Jan. 21.
  • Michael Broadwater, 63, of Sullivan, was sentenced to two concurrent 18-month prison sentences following convictions of having weapons under disability, intimidation and aggravated menacing. Broadwater received 98 days of jail credit and also faces court costs. Upon release, Broadwater will face an optional two-year post-release control sanction. The case originated Feb. 18, 2025.
  • Michael Albrecht, 27, of Greenwich, was sentenced to 180 days in jail following a conviction of abduction. Albrecht received 178 days of jail credit and also faces a $250 fine, plus court costs. Upon release, Albrecht will face an optional two-year post-release control sanction if prison is imposed. Albrecht also received three years of community control, with reserved prison time of nine to 36 months if community control is violated. The case originated Feb. 13.
  • Joshua Ricer, 44, of Ashland, was sentenced to one year in prison following a conviction of domestic violence. Ricer received 109 days of jail credit and also faces court costs. Upon release, Ricer will face an optional two-year post-release control sanction. The case originated Dec. 15, 2025.

Four people sentenced Aug. 17

  • Landen Garza, 19, of Ashland, was sentenced to 10 months in prison following a conviction of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor. Garza received 185 days of jail credit and also faces court costs. Garza must also register as a Tier II Sex Offender. Upon release, Garza will face a mandatory five-year post release control sanction. The case originated Feb. 13.
  • Brent Fish, 38, of Columbus, was sentenced to 90 days in jail and a substance abuse program following a conviction of aggravated possession of methamphetamine. An aggravated possession charge was dismissed. Fish received 57 days of jail credit and also faces a $250 fine, plus court costs. Upon release, Fish will face an optional two-year post-release control sanction if prison is imposed. Fish also received two years of community control. The case originated Oct. 12, 2023.
  • Dalton Shomate, 27, of Ashland, was sentenced to six months in a community-based correctional facility following convictions of misuse of credit cards and theft. Shomate received two days of jail credit and also faces court costs. Upon release, Shomate will face an optional two-year post-release control sanction if prison is imposed. Shomate also received three years of community control, with reserved prison time of six to 12 months (per each charge) if community control is violated. The case originated Sept. 30, 2024.
  • Austin Lester, 28, of Bellville, was sentenced to one year in prison following a conviction of endangering children (found guilty by jury). An additional endangering children charge was dismissed (found not guilty by jury). Lester received 72 days of jail credit and also faces court costs. Upon release, Lester will face an optional two-year post-release control sanction. The case originated Oct. 9, 2025.

Three people sentenced Aug. 20

  • Tyler DeMastus, 32, was sentenced to six months in prison, plus 308 consecutive days of post-release control time, following a conviction of escape. DeMastus received 79 days of jail credit and also faces court costs. Upon release, DeMastus will face an optional two-year post-release control sanction. The case originated Feb. 13.
  • David Struckoff, 26, of Nova, was sentenced to 60 days in jail following a conviction of having weapons while intoxicated (found guilty by jury). Additional charges were dismissed (found not guilty by jury on): attempted murder, felonious assault, aggravated possession of drugs and improper handling. Struckoff received five days of jail credit and two years of community control. The case originated Sept. 26, 2025.
  • Brandon Barker, 45, of Mansfield, was sentenced to one year in prison following a conviction of retaliation. One count of intimidation was dismissed. Barker received 135 days of jail credit and also faces court costs. Upon release, Barker will face an optional two-year post-release control sanction. The case originated March 12.

Five people sentenced Aug. 24

  • Gabriel Pasket, 26, of Ravenna, was sentenced to 30 days in jail and a mental health program following a conviction of strangulation. A domestic violence charge was dismissed. Pasket received six days of jail credit and also faces a $250 fine, plus court costs. Upon release, Pasket will face an optional two-year post-release control sanction if prison is imposed. Pasket also received two years of community control, with reserved prison time of six to 18 months if community control is violated. The case originated April 13.
  • Cory Light, 40, of Ashland, was sentenced to six to nine years following a conviction of felonious assault. Additional charges were dismissed: tampering, possessing criminal tools and domestic violence. Light received 209 days of jail credit and also faces court costs. Upon release, Light will face a mandatory post-release control sanction of 18 months to three years. The case originated Jan. 29.
  • Crystal Howard, 35, of Parma, was sentenced to six months in prison following a conviction of possession of a fentanyl-related compound. Howard received 180 days of jail credit and also faces court costs. Upon release, Howard will face an optional two-year post release control sanction. The case originated April 14, 2022.
    • In a separate case, Howard was sentenced to nine months in prison, consecutive to the sentence above, following a conviction of escape. Howard received 50 days of jail credit and also faces court costs. Upon release, Howard will face an optional two-year post release control sanction. The case originated Jan. 12, 2024.
  • Hunter Barber, 26, of Ashland, was sentenced to four to six years in prison following convictions of burglary, domestic violence and violating a temporary protection order. Barber received 292 days of jail credit and also faces court costs. Upon release, Barber faces a mandatory post-release control sanction of 18 months to three years. The case originated Nov. 7, 2025.
  • Eboni Goods, 27, of Columbus, was sentenced to six months in prison following a conviction of receiving stolen property. Goods received six days of jail credit and also faces court costs. Upon release, Goods will face an optional two-year post release control sanction.

Two people sentenced Aug. 28

  • Stacy Simmons, 49, of West Salem, was sentenced to two 60-day jail sentences following convictions of grand theft and forgery. One count of telecommunications fraud was dismissed. Simmons received four days of jail credit and also faces a $250 fine, plus court costs and restitution. Upon release, Simmons will face an optional two-year post release control sanction if prison is imposed. Simmons also received mandatory community control time, with reserved prison time of six to 18 months (per each count) if community control is violated. The case originated Dec. 11, 2025.
  • Dekota Thompson, 22, of Mansfield, was sentenced to six to nine years in prison on three separate counts of aggravated trafficking in methamphetamine, to be served consecutively to Thompson’s case in Richland County. Three counts of aggravated possession of methamphetamine were dismissed. Thompson did not receive any jail credit, but faces court costs. Upon release, Thompson will face a mandatory post-release control sanction of 18 months to three years. The case originated March 12.

One person sentenced Aug. 31

  • Jordon McWeeny, 38, of Canton, was sentenced to one year in prison following a conviction of domestic violence. McWeeny received 78 days of jail credit and also faces court costs. Upon release, McWeeny will face an optional two-year post-release control sanction. The case originated Feb. 21, 2025.
