Edward “Eddie” Lee Keiffer, 74 of Marysville passed away on September 29, 2026 at Marysville Memorial Hospital.

He was born on February 7, 1952 in Ashland County, the son of the late Harry and Aline (McCormick) Keiffer. Eddie graduated from Ashland High School in class of 1970. Over the course of his life, Eddie held many jobs, working primarily in construction and sales.

Eddie had a deep love for the water. He enjoyed boating on Lake Erie and spent many happy hours on the beach during his years living in North Carolina. Music was a big part of his life – if there wasn’t a song playing he was whistling one. Outgoing by nature, Eddie never met a stranger.

He is survived by two sons, Kevin (April) Keiffer of Plain City, OH and Kyle Keiffer of New London, OH; daughter Shelly (Chad) Gruber of Roberts, WI; six grandchildren, Evan, Jenna, Caleb, Owen, Cayson and Dayton; two sisters, Dee Johnson and Laura Laug; a brother-in-law, Herbert Houser, and a sister-in-law, Beverly Keiffer.

In addition to his parents, Eddie is preceded in death by two sisters, Bette (Richard) Himes and Louise Houser; four brothers, Richard, Carl, David (Phyllis) and Robert (Bonnie) Keiffer; and two brothers-in-law, Gary Johnson and Charles Laug.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 25th at the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home. Family and friends may visit two hours prior to the service from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Cast It Forward. Donations will help provide fishing and outdoor opportunities for children, veterans, and seniors, allowing Eddie’s love for fishing to continue making a difference in the lives of others.

For those who may not be able to attend, online condolences may be shared on the funeral home’s website at denbowfh.com.

Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home & Crematory is honored to handle the arrangements.
