John William Warrick, 83 of Ashland passed from this life, early Friday morning, October 16, 2026, in the Good Shepherd Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born on May 21, 1943, in Shelby the son of the late John and June Lily (nee Sponsler) Warrick.
John graduated from Shelby High School, Class of 1961. On November 20, 1960, he married the love of his life, the former Sharon Lee Copeland.
He retired after more than 44 years from the F.E. Myers Company where he was a lead person and assembler.
John was a devoted member of Calvary Baptist Church where he sang in the choir and was an usher. He was a member of the Eagles Aerie # 2178 in Ashland.
He is survived by his three sons, Timothy (Jeanne) Warrick of Mansfield, Randal (Christina) Warrick of Greenwich, and John (Jeana) Warrick of Ashland; six grandchildren, Brandon (Carrie) Warrick of Ashland, Steven (Mallory) Warrick of Ashland, Sarah (Jordan) Kemper of Ashland, Brennan (Jacy) Warrick of Plymouth, Evan (Challen) Warrick of Plymouth, and Collin (Kenadie) Warrick of Greenwich; 14 great grandchildren, Alivia, Grayson, Serenity, Thomas, Zoey, Ellie, Colton, Hank, Esperanza, Myles, Maevrie, Bryson, Brody, and Bowen; and one brother, Thomas (Eleanor) Warrick of Bellville.
In addition to his parents, John is preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years, Sharon who passed away on August 26, 2022; one son, Bryan Warrick, a daughter-in-law, Sue Warrick; and one sister, Carol Ann Sheppard.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home with Reverend Harry Strachan presiding. A meal and time of fellowship will follow in the Legacy Room at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Ganges Cemetery. Family and friends may visit one hour prior the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 210 N. Davis Road, Ashland, Ohio 44805.
