Stephen R. Adams, Sr., 72 of Ashland, formerly of Conneaut, passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2026 in his home following a period of declining health.
He was born on July 3, 1954 in Conneaut the son of the late George and Dorothea (nee Rood) Adams.
Stephen graduated from Conneaut High School, Class of 1972 and went on to further his education and earned a culinary arts degree from Pittsburgh Culinary Institute. He proudly served in the United States Army.
He married the love of his life the former Alonna Smith on December 31, 1994.
Stephen was a devoted member of V.F.W. #1067, Amvets Post 96, and Eagles Aerie #2178. Throughout his life, he was an avid Cleveland Browns fan and enjoyed fishing on Lake Erie.
He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Alonna Adams of Ashland; two daughters, Tracy and Audree Gerasimchik; two stepchildren, Jeremy (Amber) Glus of Cortland and Lisa Glus of Amsbury, Massachusetts; numerous grandchildren; and his siblings, Art (JoAnn) Adams of North Kingsville, Kristen Lanahan of Conneaut, and Bryan Adams.
In addition to his parents, Stephen is preceded in death by his son, Stephen Adams Jr; his siblings, William and George Adams; and Beverly Wagner.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation has been entrusted to the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home & Crematory.
