ASHLAND— Report for America Corps Member Nathan Hart stopped by WRDL’s studios on Thursday for Ashland Source‘s weekly segment on The Early Bird’s Wird.
He started by talking about Ashland City Schools’ new head football coach, Scott Valentine, who was hired by the district’s board of education earlier in the week. Valentine previously served as head coach from 2002-2018 and earned the team a 130-60 record.Â
Hart also spoke about Pioneer National Latex, a local balloon manufacturing company that recently stopped production in Ashland and lost around 80 employees. The only workers that remain at the facility are maintenance workers, administrative staff, and employees that pack and ship balloons.
Hart ended the segment by going over how he found sources for the Pioneer National Latex story and his plans for future coverage of the company.
