COLUMBUS—Ohio Senate President Larry Obhof (R-Medina) and State Representative Darrell Kick yesterday honored the Ashland Area Chamber of Commerce for winning the Ohio Chamber of Commerce’s 2018 Excellence in Grassroots Advocacy Award.
The Ashland Area Chamber earned the recognition for its policy advocacy and grassroots efforts to develop entrepreneurial interests and promote collaboration between businesses and the community.
“The team at the Ashland Area Chamber of Commerce has done a good job of advocating for policies that promote economic growth,” said Obhof. ” I’m proud of their record of service to our community and pleased to honor them.”
“It was a real honor to see my district awarded among all the local chambers doing great work across the state,” Kick added. “Knowing the Ashland Chamber for a number of years, I have seen the impressive effort they are capable of and wish them continued success. Their outreach to business has been exceptional, and I know Ashland area businesses appreciate their efforts.”
