ASHLAND – Two men face drug charges after they were found in possession of suspected crystal meth and methamphetamine in a truck in the WalMart parking lot, according to a press release from the Ashland Police Department.
Nathane Baker, 35, of Loudonville, and Arlie Ward, 24, of Centerbug were arrested just after 7 p.m. Wednesday by Ashland Police after offices were dispatched to the WalMart parking lot to investigate a report of suspected drug activity taking place in Baker’s truck. After the two men were taken into custody, police found materials in the bed of the truck known to be used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine.
The vehicle was secured and towed to the Ashland Police impound lot. On Friday, Ashland Police, along with officers from the METRICH enforcement unit, executed a search warrant on the pickup truck and safely removed the manufacturing equipment Members of the Ashland Fire Division were on-hand at the time of the search.
Both men are charged with aggravated possession of drugs, a felony of the fifth degree.
