As science has progressed, lead has become one of the most well-known toxins; something we fear interacting with in our day-to-day lives. It’s in the paint of old buildings, soil, plumbing and even food in high-risk areas. More actively – and most damning to Ohio’s carnivorous bird population – lead is in ammo, as well.
