ASHLAND – Two suspects are in custody at the Ashland County Jail after being arrested in connection with three break-ins in Ashland.
Casey Pattie, 21 and Skye Parker Rosa Dedic, 20 were taken into custody on Thursday, July 28 after officers and detectives of the Ashland Police Division executed a search warrant at 242 Mathews Ave. apartment F.
According to a press release from the Ashland Division of Police, detectives developed probable cause to believe Pattie and Dedic were involved in the breaking and entering of the Claremont Veterinary Clinic. The information came from the patrol officers of “D” squad.
Further investigation confirmed that Pattie and Dedic were also responsible for breaking into the Ashland Golf Club and the Family Chiropractic Clinic. Information concerning the pair’s involvement in three veterinary clinic break-ins in Wayne County was turned over to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
According to Ashland Chief of Police David Marcelli, the suspects allegedly stole money from the Golf Club and the Chiropractic Clinic, and pharmaceuticals from the Veterinary Clinic.
Pattie and Dedic are currently being held at the Ashland County Jail pending review of possible charges by the Ashland County Prosecutor.
“Normally the course of action is they are referred to the prosecutor, the prosecutor files charges and they are put into the court system,” Marcelli said.
“If the prosecutor does not file charges by Friday, the arresting officer can present probable cause to the judge to hold the suspects in jail until a hearing.”
