MONTGOMERY TOWNSHIP – The Ashland State Highway Patrol Post is investigating a one-vehicle fatal crash that occurred Wednesday at approximately 2:35 p.m.
The crash occurred on Township Road 1600, just west of Township 655.
Rhonda Renner, 54, of Jeromesville, was driving a 2000 Saturn station wagon westbound on Township Road 1600. Renner drove left of center, continued off the left side of the road, and struck a culvert. She succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
Drugs and/or alcohol do not appear to be a factor in the crash. The Patrol reported she was wearing her safety belt.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Ashland County Sheriff’s Office, Ashland City Fire and EMS, and Gibbs Towing.
This crash remains under investigation.
