ASHLAND — As the grand opening of Downtown Ashland’s first-ever coworking space draws closer, those interested in seeing the interior of CoffySpace Coworking will soon have an opportunity to tour the space – as well has peak behind the curtain of several other projects brewing.
The first of the coworking space’s private tours is scheduled for 6 p.m. March 12 and is open for entrepreneurs, small businesses and anyone else interested in Downtown Ashland’s ongoing revitalization.
Each tour will include a walkthrough of both buildings associated with Coffyspace Coworking: the second floor of 12 West Main Street, which already functions as a small-scale coworking space for Flight Media, Vinyl Marketing and several other small businesses, and the 4,600 square-foot building at 43 West Main Street that is currently being renovated for this purpose.
Now expected to open in April 2020, the latter of the two spaces will feature a variety of flexible options for entrepreneurs and small organizations, including shared desks, dedicated desks and private offices starting at $99.
The amenities associated with the modern workspace include high speed internet, professional reception and lobby space, private business mailboxes, access to meeting rooms, a full-kitchen with unlimited micro-roasted coffee, 24/7 access and a steeply discounted rate to the Coffy’s vacation/company retreat cabin in Gatlinburg, TN.

The tours will be led by Coffyspace owner Josh Coffy, who will speak about the building’s history, the vision behind the coworking facility and how he hopes to further fuel downtown’s economic growth with the investment.
During the tours, Coffy intends to show off the hidden, secret spaces, including a hatch door to the 43 West Main Street building’s unique basement.
Tours are free and will include pour-over coffee and donuts. Plus, those who attend will have the opportunity to sign their names on the entrance to 43 West Main before it’s sealed with pennies as one of the founding supporters.
