CANAAN TOWNXHIP — A Jeromesville man was killed in a Saturday morning crash, according to the Wooster Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Timothy Pryor, 34, of Jeromesville, was pronounced dead at the scene after the two-vehicle incident at 8:48 a.m. at the intersection of Ohio 83 and Ohio 604 in Canaan Township.
The Wooster Post reported it received a call of two cars off the road at the intersection. Troopers arrived on scene to find a 2016 Jeep Cherokee and a 2014 Chevy Cruze off the northeast corner of the intersection.
The Patrol probe reported the 2014 Chevy Cruze driven by Pryor was eastbound on State Route 604. A 2016 Jeep Cherokee driven by Ronald Burns, 71, of Louisville, was northbound on State Route 83. Authorities stated Pryor’s vehicle failed to stop at the stop sign and was struck by the Jeep.
Both vehicles travelled off the northeast side of the roadway and into a field. The Wayne County Coroner pronounced Pryor dead at the scene. Burns was transported to the Wooster Community Hospital with non-life threatening injuries by Canaan Township Fire and EMS.
