ASHLAND — The Salvation Army Ashland Kroc Center, which serves the greatest number of people experiencing the greatest need in Ashland County, has received a $40,000 grant from Armstrong Cable.

The grant will support the Kroc Center’s hunger assistance efforts, which have increased since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.

In 2020, the Kroc Center’s pantry distributed nearly half of a million pounds of food — over 200,000 pounds more than the previous year.

To the present, the Kroc Center continues serving a larger amount of food weekly compared with pre-pandemic levels.
