ASHLAND — The Ashland Regional Ballet (ARB) and Opus II Dance Studio (Official School of the Ashland Regional Ballet) will collaborate to present a Dance Concert in the Park at 8 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 15 at the Guy C. Myers Memorial Bandshell at Brookside Park in Ashland.
Admission is free. The dancers will present an eclectic program sure to please audience members of all ages.
Appearing in the concert are Ashland Regional Ballet members Timora Barnett, Mira Bechtol, Julia Brauner, Eva Early, Skylynn Heichel, Landon Hyatt, Katrin Parker, Samantha Metz, Lyla Metzger, Valerie Raubenolt, Elise Sabourin, and Emma Schaefer Audrey Rosby, Anna Slade, Tara Tavallae, and Allie Wentworth of Ashland; Taylor Hill of Nova, Megan Harrigan of Nankin, and Mikayla Jarvis of Wooster.
Making their premiere performance as members of ARB are Addilyn Bryant, Haylee Cromer, Adra Herrod, Teagan Kime, Lilly Lehman, and Audrey Smith. Appearing as ARB Alumna is Emma Blake.
Joining the company dancers are Opus II students Alliyah Bensaid, Addi Bonfiglio, Natalie Cine, Abbi Crist, Adley Grabowski, Emma Karl, Kinsley Kline, Milo McDonald, Isabella McArdle, Indica McQuate, Jackie Metz, Sydnee Middaugh, Alysia Szasz-Benedek, Kirra Secrest, Natalie Secrest, Madelyn Shenberger, Lucy Ronk, Gianna Sinchok, Isaac Smith, Adalyn Studer, Nathaniel Studer, Olivia Swartz, and Jordyn Thomas Ashland Regional Ballet is under the Artistic Direction of Sarah Cyders.
Opus II Dance Studio is under the direction of School Director Ann Marie Benshoff-Todd. Choreography is by Founder/Executive Director Hellie Schussler; and ARB alumna Kimberly Cadley-Mach, and Lucia Mancha.
All dances staged by ARB staff/faculty Members Ann Marie Benshoff-Todd and Sarah Cyders. The directors and staff members have worked together to create a show which not only showcases the dancers’ talents, but is also great family entertainment.
Donations will be used to help Ashland Regional Ballet recoup loss from Covid-19, cover production costs, commission new choreography, and purchase costumes and supplies.
