ASHLAND — The Ashland High School girls golf team enjoyed a fine season, and a number of members were recently recognized by the Northwest District Golf Coaches Association, according to Arrows coach Tom Marquette.
Senior Klaira Paramore was chosen the Northwest District co-player of the year. She shared the honor with Perrysburg sophomore Sydney Deal. Paramore finished runner-up at district and 25th at state in recent post-season high school girls golf tournament action.
Paramore fired a 79-75 for a 154 at state to tie with three other golfers for 25th. The Arrows’ standout will play next season at Ashland University.
Junior Emma Packard was chosen to the district second-team after a fifth-place finish at the sectional tournament and 15th place finish at district.
Freshman Makaree Chapman earned district honorable-mention notice after a solid postseason performance.
