ASHLAND — Ashland Source’s Dillon Carr joined WRDL The Early Bird’s Word hosts Nicholas Stupka and Brandon Gunder on Thursday to talk about the latest local news.
In this week’s show, Carr highlighted a standoff that ended peacefully in Ashland. Police said James Sowders threatened to hurt his family and himself, and held a knife to his own throat. He was arrested after a four-hour standoff.
He also spoke about a Mansfield man who died Tuesday following a hit-skip along U.S. Route 42. Troopers from the Ashland post are searching for a silver Dodge pick-up truck.
He then talked about Ashland City Council’s latest move to make room for a developer who wants to create the Pump House District. It involved a $92,000 purchase of a property and the transferring of property.
Finally, he spoke about the Ashland County Board of Election’s problem in recruiting poll workers with the May 3 primary only two weeks away.
