ASHLAND — The Ashland County Agricultural Society has announced the 2022 Ashland County Fair Books are posted on its website and available at the office located at 2042 Claremont Avenue, if a hard copy is needed.
Entry deadline is Saturday, Aug. 20 with special office hours from 8 a.m. to noon that day. The entries and appropriate membership ticket amount must be within the office prior to the Saturday noon deadline. Regular office hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and closed on Saturday.
Anyone can view the full contents and access printable documents within it. To view the book on the website, click the tab on the website: www.ashlandcountyfair.com and then the Senior Fair Book in the drop-down menu. The book contains fair rules, regulations, entry forms, the fair schedule, and more. Aug. 12 was the deadline for the Junior Fair.
There are many opportunities for youth to participate in the Open Classes under a parent or guardian’s membership.
The fair book and full fair are a combine effort by all the directors, department supervisors, and committee members. They attend meetings and work diligently to make the grounds and facility update, safe, and clean.
They also plan parking and entry spaces, decorations, supplies, set up helpers, secure judges, all the way to tear down helpers at the close of the fair and then it begins all over again for the next year. The countless volunteers work vast hours putting on a fun enjoyable family fair each year.
