COLUMBUS — On July 1, Wendi Fowler, Park National Bank assistant vice president and trust officer, began a three-year term on the Ohio State Bar Association Board of Governors.
The Ohio Bar Board of Governors is a 24-member body that is charged with the responsibility of conducting business on the association’s behalf, managing business affairs, setting policy and reviewing pending legislation.
Fowler was elected by Ohio Bar member attorneys in District 9, which includes Coshocton, Fairfield, Knox, Licking, Muskingum and Perry counties.
“I am honored to serve as a member of the Board of Governors with the Ohio State Bar Association because it gives me the opportunity to serve a group of professionals who work so hard each day to help improve the lives of others through the legal profession,” Fowler said.
Fowler has been in the banking industry since 2008. In her role, she helps her customers protect and grow their money with a commitment to building relationships and providing a high level of service.
“I really enjoy my role as a Trust and Investments professional as it has positioned me to be able to use my skillset in a way that helps improve the lives of my customers whether it be through reviewing their estate plan or helping them to identify their investment goals and objectives,” Fowler said. “I take pride in the relationship that I develop with my customers and do not view it as a transaction but rather a relationship.”
She is a member of the Ohio Bar’s Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law Section Council and of the Knox County Bar Association. In her community, she serves as secretary for the Heart of Ohio Estate Planning Council and is an ambassador for the Knox County Chamber of Commerce.
She has also served as vice president of the Kiwanis Club of Mount Vernon and as a member of Women United, an affinity group of the United Way of Knox County. Fowler earned her undergraduate degree from Earlham College and her law degree from the Case Western Reserve University School of Law.
