ASHLAND — The Ashland Symphony Orchestra has two fundraisers this autumn: a bus trip and a holiday gift set.

The Friends of the ASO has partnered with local Ashland area ceramic artist Amanda Kencsan and Goldberry Roasting Company to create a Mug and Coffee gift set for the holidays.

The ceramic mug is handcrafted and decorated exclusively for the Ashland Symphony Orchestra by Kencsan and is packaged with a 3-oz. bag of Goldberry’s Blend medium roast coffee either ground or whole bean.

Each mug is hand thrown, decorated, and glazed, so each item is unique; capacity is approximately 8 ounces; and the mug is microwave safe and hand-washing is recommended.

The mug comes in your choice of red, blue, or green and is inscribed with your choice of music from Beethoven’s Für Elise, Moonlight Sonata, or Ode to Joy. The cost is $30 per gift set. The mug may be ordered with a custom song for the cost of $50 per gift set.

The deadline to order is Monday, Oct. 10. Each set will be presented in a gift bag and will be available for pick-up Sunday, Nov. 27 at the ASO’s Family Holiday Pops concert or Monday through Friday, Nov. 28 through Dec. 2 at the ASO office, 331 College Ave, Ashland Ohio 44805.

There is no shipping available for this product. Please indicate at the time of your order when you plan to pick it up.

The other fundraiser is a Fall Reflections bus trip to Columbus on Saturday, Oct. 15 from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Join Rev. Tom Snyder and Mark Gorsuch on a trip to our state capital.

The tour includes stops at Franklin Park Conservatory, Columbus Museum of Art, and Broad Street United Methodist Church for a pipe-organ demonstration. Lunch and shopping are on your own in German Village. The cost is $65 per person or $125 for two – use promo code COUPLE.

Transportation by coach bus and admission to Franklin Park Conservatory and the Columbus Museum of Art are included in the cost of your ticket. The bus will depart promptly at 8:30 a.m. from First United Methodist Church, 220 Sandusky Street, Ashland, Ohio, so please plan to arrive by 8:15 a.m.

This fundraiser supports the ASO’s Change for Music Education fund.
