ASHLAND — Ashland Source reporter Dillon Carr stopped by the WRDL Studios on March 2 for the publication’s weekly segment on The Early Bird’s Word.

Carr talked to hosts about an expensive project at the Ashland County courthouse involving its new HVAC system. The system was installed for $690,543, but change orders put the project at $837,987.

Ashland County commissioners recently hired a company to study the new system to see what’s wrong with it.

He also talked about the Ashland County Jail and its effort to curb an overpopulation issue. They have asked “law enforcement partners” to reconsider whether defendants should go to jail immediately.
