“Together Again”
Thomas Arden Workman, age 92, of Ashland passed away Sunday, March 31, 2024, at Laurels of Massillon.
He was born June 30, 1931, in Massillon, Ohio, to the late Audley Daryl and Dora Pearl (Crow) Workman. Tom graduated from Shadyside High School in a class of only 13 students in 1949. He was a veteran of the US Air Force from 1949-1953 where he was a mechanic. Tom was an electrical engineer and owned a television repair shop in Ashland. He liked to tinker on electronics and work on automobiles. He was constantly working on something at home. He was very kind and gentle. Tom was also very practical and sharp as a tack. He was a family man who had a strong faith.
He is survived by a daughter, Cindy (Keith) Rush; two grandchildren, Robert Ross and Samantha (Collin) Ross; two great-grandchildren, Cambriella and Ziyamara; and two nieces, Lisa Workman and Daryl Workman.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jane (Wells) Workman and a brother, Joe Workman.
The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at Wappner Funeral Directors-Ashland, 308 Claremont Avenue. The funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00 p.m. He will be laid to rest beside his wife in Ashland Cemetery.
