ASHLAND — Amy Daubenspeck shopped at a Buehler’s as a youngster.
When she moved to Ashland, the Chamber of Commerce president told a crowd Wednesday morning, visiting the Buehler’s location in town felt like home.
That Buehler’s location hosted a ribbon cutting Wednesday morning, sharing several updates to the store in the process.
Among them were a new Starbucks location, a self-serve bakery, new decorations throughout the store and “The Kitchen,” which has several grab-and-go options.
The manager of Ashland’s Buehler’s store and the CEO of Buehler’s spoke at the event Monday. The Oscar Mayer Wienermobile was also parked in front of the store to help celebrate.
Both speakers emphasized that throughout the process of updating the store, the focus remained on having a good environment for customers and employees.
Mike Davidson, the CEO, said the remodel was completed with little disruption.
Store manager Nate Sailer told Ashland Source customers had some complaints about the change at first. But, once things started taking shape, people became more excited, Sailer said. He said the updates make a difference in the store.
“It’s night and day,” Sailer said.
For him, the most exciting part of the upgrades is the ability to better serve customers.
“Everybody’s super busy in life, and the areas we improved on help with that,” Sailer said, pointing to the grab-and-go options as an example.
He hopes it helps shoppers save time so they can focus on “what’s important in life.”
