ASHLAND — The second of three installments of United Way’s Fun Friday events took over Foundation Plaza Friday afternoon.

The event featured a magician’s show, along with food and several vendors for students.

The series of events is set to promote summer reading. The first gathering, in June, featured a presentation from the Ohio School of Falconry.

August’s Fun Friday will take place Aug. 2, and the event will be a kid’s concert at Foundation Plaza from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m.
