ASHLAND — The following criminal charges were filed in August with the Ashland County Common Pleas Court.

Indictments

The following 15 people were the subject of an indictment and have or will appear before the Ashland County Common Pleas Court: 

  • Nicholas Barnett, 41, of Ashland, was charged with retaliation. The Ashland County Sheriff’s Office filed the charge Aug. 22, in connection with an incident authorities say happened Aug. 20.
  • Nathan F. Brown, Jr., 28, of Akron, was charged with failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer. The charge, filed Aug. 27 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol, was in connection to an incident authorities say happened Aug. 25.
  • Taylor Desiree Marvin-Brown, 29, of Sandusky, received two charges: one count of endangering children, and one count of obstruction of justice. The Ashland County Sheriff’s Office filed the charges Aug. 21. The charges were connected to incidents authorities say took place Aug. 17.
  • David Dean, 40, of Ashland, was charged with violating a protection order. The charge was filed by the Ashland Police Department Aug. 30, in connection with an incident authorities say happened Aug. 29.
  • Seth Walter Hinton, 25, of Greenwich, received four charges. He received one count of involuntary manslaughter; two counts of corrupting another with drugs; and one count of aggravated trafficking in drugs. The charges were filed by an Ashland County grand jury on Aug. 12, in connection with incidents authorities say happened Oct. 3, 2023.
  • Ernest Keys, 29, of Mansfield, was charged with aggravated possession of drugs. The charge, filed Aug. 12 by an Ashland County grand jury, was in connection to an incident authorities say happened May 25.
  • Robert Michalski, Jr., 47, of Savannah, received two charges: one count of endangering children, and one count of tampering with evidence. The charges were filed Aug. 21 by the Ashland County Sheriff’s Office in connection with incidents authorities say happened Aug. 17.
  • Joshua Mullins, 33, of Ashland, was charged with corrupting another with drugs. The Ashland Police Department filed the charge Aug. 23. The charge was connected to an incident authorities say happened Aug. 21.
  • Jeffrey Priola, 31, of Lakewood, was charged with having weapons while under disability. The charge, filed Aug. 30 by the Ashland Police Department, was in connection to an incident authorities say took place Aug. 29.
  • Joshua Roper, 38, of West Salem, was charged with having weapons while under disability. The Ashland County Sheriff’s Office filed the charge Aug. 28. The charge originated with an incident authorities say happened Aug. 27.
  • Antoine James Sealey, Jr., 23, of Cleveland, was charged with having weapons while under disability. The Ohio Highway Patrol filed the charge Aug. 16. The charge originated with an incident authorities say happened July 16.
  • Derek Sindyla, 38, of Lakewood, received two charges: one count of aggravated possession of drugs and one count of possession of cocaine. The charges, filed by the Ashland Police Department on Aug. 27, are in connection to incidents authorities say happened Aug. 25.
  • Mathew Tharin, 35, of Ashland, received two charges: one count of aggravated possession of drugs and one count of possession of cocaine. The Ashland Police Department filed the charges Aug. 22. The charges originated with incidents authorities say took place Aug. 19.
  • Allura Ward, 23, of Mansfield, was charged with being a fugitive from justice. The Ashland County Sheriff’s Office filed the charges Aug. 14. The charge is in connection to an incident authorities say happened Aug. 13.
  • Angelina Williams, 28, of Cleveland, received two charges: one count of endangering children, and one count of obstructing justice. The charges were filed Aug. 21 by the Ashland County Sheriff’s Office in connection with incidents authorities say happened Aug. 17.
