ASHLAND — The body of a missing Ashland man has been found, according to a press release issued Friday night by the Ashland Division of Police.

Jermaine Anderson, 43, was discovered in the Town Run Creek near City Lot B, Ashland Police captain Craig Kiley stated. The press release did not list a cause of death, nor what time Anderson’s body was found.

The Ashland County Coroner’s Office and the Attorney General’s Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) have been contacted and are collaborating with the Ashland Police.

According to Kiley, Anderson was last seen at approximately 11:23 p.m. on Wednesday. He was reported missing on Thanksgiving night at 6:55 p.m.

Kiley said Ashland police interviewed friends, potential witnesses and began searching the downtown area. That’s when his body was found.

“Currently, there are no concerns for the public’s safety,” Kiley said. “The division continues to conduct a thorough and ongoing investigation and kindly asks the public to respect the family’s privacy as they mourn the loss of Jermaine.”
