ASHLAND — It wouldn’t be spring in Ohio if we weren’t surrounded by precipitation.

While we’re all hoping April showers bring May flowers rings true this year, the wet end of that philosophy is certainly living up to its reputation.

There is a severe thunderstorm watch in effect for Ashland County until 9 p.m. on Wednesday, April 15.

The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch in effect until 9 p.m. for the following areas in Ohio. This watch includes 28 counties in north central Ohio:

Ashland, Crawford, Erie, Huron, Knox, Lorain, Marion, Morrow, and Richland in our region.

This watch includes the cities and/or villages of Ashland, Bucyrus, Cardington, Chesterland, Crestline, Galion, Mansfield, Millersburg, Mount Gilead, Mount Vernon, Willard and Wooster in this region.
