About the event:
Friends of Ashland County Dogs (FOACD non profit) will be hosting “Pickleball for Paws” on Friday, May 30th at Brookside West Park in Ashland. The community fundraiser will feature pickleball activities, vendors, basket raffles, food, and family-friendly fun while raising money to support shelter and rescue dogs in Ashland County.
Event highlights include:
• Pickleball open play and activities throughout the day starting at 10
• Serving Challenge at 12:00 PM — participants can try to hit designated targets on their serve to win prizes
• Beginner Pickleball Clinic at 1:00 PM for anyone who has ever wanted to learn the game ($10 donation suggested)
• Basket raffles running all day, with drawings at 3:00 PM (participants do not need to be present to win)
• Vendors, food trucks, face painting, gem mining and activities throughout the event
Friends of Ashland County Dogs supports organizations and efforts that help shelter and rescue dogs become more adaptable and successful in finding forever homes through enrichment, training resources, foster support, and projects that improve the lives of dogs at local shelters, including the Ashland County Dog Shelter.
The event will take place at Brookside West Park, near the pickleball courts by the pond.
