November 20, 2021 found me able to breathe freely again. The end of the four-year error was finally over. After four years of lying, tweeting and golfing … done!
When Trump first elected I decided to keep a daily journal of his what I thought would be simple gaffes. After about three days I gave him, knowing this could become a full time job. As time went on I was astounded that no one was trying to keep him in check.
Where were the adults?
I kept my head down and just got on living my small life in a small town.
Then came the pandemic. That we were told was a hoax, we would have no cases and then few cases. All lies. Not just affecting my life but most of my friends from lost jobs, illness and deaths. Trump should have addressed this head on and asked for us all to do our parts.
Hey what did true Americans do when asked at the beginning of World War II? They came together and did what was best for their country.
Then the election and like the narcissist he is, he could not take a NO!
January 6 was perhaps the wake up call America needed to see our democracy could be (and almost was) stolen not by other countries but
by our own citizens! Unreal!
I watched the inauguration of President Joe Biden with many moments of tears. Tears of happiness to have a president who would try and right this ship around. No late night tweets, interaction with the press, surrounding himself with smart people in their fields. A president who shows great compassion and empathy for all of us! I had missed that so much the last four years.
